"I'm just a girl from Chicago who's parents decided it was a good idea to give me some crayolas at the age of 2."
Katelynn Vallejo was born on February 2nd 1998 in the city of Chicago.
She was a girl who was raised by her grandparents who were her legal guardians until they were able to adopt her in the year 2012.
Growing up an only child with two older adults, she was not around kids her own age very often. And when starting school, she went straight into Kindergarten, skipping preschool. Which was an additional stress to being anti social. During recess, instead of running around on the playground she was the little girl who would stay inside to draw and keep to herself.
She always had an interest in anything of the arts. Performing Arts as well as Visual Arts. Singing was something she always loved to do in the comfort of her own home. That is until she entered her middle school talent show in 2012. Her chosen song "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera earned her a standing ovation from her entire school. A few months after, Katelynn gave into peer pressure releasing the video of the performance on YouTube under the username PWheartgal on August 10th 2012 where now has almost three thousand views.

Since then has had 4 years of choir experience, 2 years of Honors Show Choir, has received the Jone Quincy Music Award, and made it two years in a row into IMEA (illinois music educators association) performances. When in high school she was involved in her school's Drama Club for all four years performing in the one act shows and musicals such as Legally Blonde.
She went from a character with two lines in freshman year to a lead role in the cast of her last one act performance in her senior year. Katelynn was then inducted into the National Thespian Society.
The name PWheartgal was only recognized on YouTube for a short while until Katelynn created a DeviantArt account. (her deviantart is http://pwheartgal.deviantart.com ) This website allowed thousands upon thousands of people to post their creations everyday. After having posted only one drawing on this account, she already was gaining followers the day of. This website exposed Katelynn to a new type of art she would soon grow to love. This hobby brought together the craft of costumery and performing art of role-play, also known as cosplay. She started teaching herself how to sew, how to style wigs, and how to work with cosmetics. Cosplaying characters from popular anime shows such as "Mikasa" from Attack on Titan, "Honey-Senpai" from Ouran High School Host Club, and "Ciel Phantomhive" from Black Butler.She then attended her first anime convention, Anime Central located in Rosemont, IL , in 2014.
Through out all of the work Katelynn does, her main art form is simply traditional graphite and colored pencil drawings. Ever since she was very young, she always had a strong urge to draw. She now charges for the media she makes locally but is soon to release prices for any one around the world who would like to purchase a piece of her work including commissions.

Art has been something Katelynn has grown a strong passion for. She has taken classes and entered into various contests and art shows as time has gone by. Her most recent entry in a competition was for the Sister Cities international art contest.
Now a graduate of high school, she is now starting college currently planning to study Radiology.
Therefore the future simply awaits her as she puts full trust in God.
But of course where ever life happens to takes her, she will definitely bringing art along with her.
